Is anyone else totally obsessed with Groupon? Ok, maybe TOTALLY obsessed is a little over the top, but I do really like it a lot. I look forward to the newest deal and that kitty cat at the bottom of the page is so hilarious. Not to mention, the deals are incredible. If you haven't gotten your Groupon on... check the website to see if they are available in your area. I know the DFW area is covered, but I'm not sure about all the others. Groupon my friends, Groupon.

Too Kind.
Thanks for all your informative comments regarding my new phone. It really helped a lot.

You can get with this. Or you can get with that.
A new phone comes with my new job. So tonight ol' Jamesie and I are going to go test drive a few. I've narrowed it down to two.
The always reliable Blackberry.
I currently have one of these and am very pleased. Typing is very fast and efficient for emailing and texting. I would upgrade to the Bold for faster downloads, more memory and all around better look.
But then there's the iPhone.
For Internet surfing and digital qualities, it's sharp; not to mention fun. Typing eventually becomes easier (so they say); and editing and organizing emails is simple. Plus, just owning one makes me like 5 years younger, and way cooler.
I need some help friends. What do you think?

Summer Dreamin'
I had a dream that while we were in Mexico I received an email from a company that I really wanted to work for and that they asked me to come in and talk with them. And so as soon as we got back home to Dallas, I went and talked to them right away and right then and there they offered me a job. It was a good offer with tons of benefits and I was really excited.
**SLAP**
I wasn't dreaming!
Guess what kiddos, I start my new job on the 2nd of August. I'm totally shocked and stoked.
Few more details: Its a very small hotel development company with the likes of The Joule and Lumen Hotel on their resume. I'll be working back in Uptown, just blocks from my house and my new salary will finally give James and I the opportunity to buy a lil' home.
As much as my current employer has taught me and I will miss the few friends I do have here in this corporate environment; I am very excited about starting this new endeavor.
Wish me LUCK!

Happy Independence Day You Old Fogie.
Here's a picture of our crowd at the 4th of July party we went to....
Can you tell the average age of the crowd? I'd say 76. I still can't believe we weren't carded at the door.
Yup, we celebrated America in Mexico with a bunch of white heads and some delicious corn. (Yes, that is butter running down my chin)
Bastille Day 2010
Since we celebrated the 4th of July in Mexico (post to come) we figured it was best to keep up our international independence day celebrations with the Bastille on Bishop. We went down to the Bishop Arts District last night where there was tons of French music, free wine and a yummy mussel cook-off. We bought tickets for the mussels, but due to an unexpected larger crowd, they soon ran out. We ended up grabbing dinner at a local farmers market restaurant instead, not all was lost. I just wish Bastille day wasn't smack dab in the middle of the July heat... it was almost miserable.
Here are the boys toasting Bastille Day with empty glasses.
Don't they look very French?
Oui Oui.

Coyote Canyon Part Deux
During the middle of blazing our trails last week. We were given the option to repel off a 100 yard cliff. I signed up, cool, lets do this!!
Well, my opinion quickly changed once I saw how certified and experienced these cowboys were. When I say certified, I actually mean NOT certified and when I say experienced I mean its like their 5th time. No helmets, no real safety harness, no insurance clause... uhhh no thanks. BUT that doesn't stop my genius of a husband. Here are some glamour shots.

Coyote Canyon
A couple of years ago James and I went horseback riding for a couple of hours. We were sore for days. We vowed to never do it again. So when our ATV tour ride was cancelled and we were offered the horseback riding tour instead... we both quickly said, no thanks. So how is it that we spent the next 4 hours on the back of a horse?
And once again, we vow to never do it again. I'm pretty sure I still can't feel my thighs.
PS... it might have been worth it. The views of the canyon and valleys were amazing.

Damnit
So I've gone public again...
Making the blog private was becoming to difficult, especially on my non-tech savvy followers.
Oh well, I guess we'll just have to live with all the Asian comments.
Can't a girl get some privacy on the web? (Hehehe, I think my mom would say that's an oxymoron.)
WHO YOU CALLING A MORON?!

San Miguel de Allende
For the past week James and I have been skipping around San Miguel de Allende. Mexico. We had a very relaxing time and caught up on a lot of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs. We managed to eat a few tacos, margaritas and pacificos. Here are a few fun pics...
Look forward to some vaca pics during the rest of the week.
Just sayin....
James and I both have some pretty kick *A* parents, you know that? Not only did they help us get to Mexico, they made sure our arrival back was seamless. And both Enrique and Gustopher were given the presidential treatment in our absence and then delivered right back to our door.
We are very appreciative. Just sayin...
Stay tuned... hope to have vaca pics up soon.

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!
Yes, we're still south of the border, but that doesn't mean we won't be celebrating America!? We found a hotel that is throwing a good ol' America barbeque with hamburgeralers and hottie dogs. Hope everyone has a safe and lovely holiday! And best of all... enjoy having MONDAY off!
Adios!
PS... today at lunch, I ordered a ginger ale and found a metal staple in it. Hey, atleast I didn't swallow it.
