Dear Mexico,
So far you have been very sweet. The margaritas are flowing and the weather amazing. You have so much more to offer than amazing beaches and great fajitas. BUT, this evening we are having a bit more rain than expected... I thought you promised to keep that hurricane at bay?
Love,
Katie

ADIOS AMIGOS!
Dear Mexico,
I shall see you tonight. If you don't mind, could you please keep that hurricane out of our hair and also have a cold margarita waiting for me. On the rocks, no salt please.
Sincerely,
Katie

Vaca season has officially begun!
Tonight James and I head-out on an all American road trip up to Missouri to see my sister and her family. I 'used' to not be the best car traveler... but I'm actually looking forward to a little good ol' fashion road time with the hubs. Hopefully my positive attitude will remain all the way through the returning part of the trip.
Once we get back we'll start preparing for our week long stay in San Miguel de Allende over the 4th holiday. Nothing like celebrating our national Independence by leaving the country!
All I know, I need a vaca.

And baby makes 4.
You might be wondering why I'm so excited about this new Abby baby... Well, lets just say I've known her momma since she was 5.
(I already told Abby last night that I've got some good stories to tell... as soon as she's ready to listen)

She's here! She's here! We've waited so long for this sweet baby!
Abby Sara Noles arrived on Wednesday morning at 9:22 AM, weighing in at 8 lbs. 2 oz and 19 inches long. Baby and Momma are doing great and the proud papa couldn't be happier!

Busy bees
Man, have we been busy lately. It's summer time and that means we're blowin and goin! I haven't had a good chance to blog about our latest adventures... so I'll try summing them up...
A couple of weekends ago a cousin of mine was married in Grand Prairie, so the family was all in town. My cousin Josh and his girlfriend stayed with James and I and we showed them all around our fancy Dallas. They are opening up their own yogurt store in their hometown and wanted to try all 2,738,260,875,687 million brands that we have in our 5 mile block radius. So we loaded up on yogurt, my digestive track is running perfectly, thank you.
We also went out to the Colonial Golf Tournament in Fort Worth with Josh and Heather Man, now that's a whole other world. I've never been to such a quiet sporting event. It was strange and extremely hot, so we didn't stay long. Plus, there were much cheaper beers at the house.

I'm patiently (or not) awaiting the arrival of my friend Jaime's baby... she's past her due date so I'll get to meet that baby by Wednesday at the latest.
This last weekend was quiet. Just swimming with friends or at their pools while they aren't home! James and I both agreed Dallas is a horrible place in the summer without a pool.
We have a fun filled summer ahead too! Going to Missouri to see my favorite rowdie, hosting a few Oklahomans, heading to Mexico, and spending some time with James' dad while he's back in the states. I'll try to keep up... you try and keep up.

Deep Thought Thursday with JBL - Vol. 26 *Final Edition*
With deep sadness I announce that this is the final submission of DTTw/JBL 1997 edition. Maybe, just maybe, we can talk ol' JBL into opening his poetry door and giving us a few more deep thoughts, circa 2010? That would be the bomb. Please James, please?!
