Hey weather lady.... we had a bad storm last night and we had NO warning. We actually had to turn on the tv and listen to the news ourselves.
You're slacking.

MVP - James Lynn
James had his last flag-football game last night and has been self-titled MVP of the game. He scored a touchdown and some extra points and apparently had 2 defenders on him at one point. (They didn't actually win, but that's not what counts, right?) None of this could've happen without a little ruffing - the boy came home with cuts, scratches and burns all the way up his left leg and arm; reminding me once again that I might need to invest in some sort of first aid kit or bandaids.
But the real glory of the game, was the compliment he was given by the opposing team; "You don't look like you would have any speed, but you're really quick." Hey, we're not in our prime anymore so we'll take any kind of compliment we can get! hahaha! Good game Lynn!

Succulents
Last night James brought me home this cute lil' pot-o-succulents. I love succulents, they're my new favorite. (Actually, every flower James brings home turns into my new favorite.) But today, it's succulents! He's being extra sweet to me this week so that my stress doesn't hit the fan. Thank you dear.

KICK BALL!!!
Last night James, Levi (our good friend) and I signed up for a co-ed intramural kick-ball league. We figure it would be a great way to get outdoors, get some exercise and make some new friends. We start playing in a few weeks. I'm really ready to get out and have some fun, but the idea of kick-ball brings back some pretty vivid moments in my childhood.
.... It all goes back to a black asphalt parking lot in the middle of "the hood" in Gainesville. Every year my class was divided into two teams, The Roman and The Philippians (it was a Catholic school). We set the field on the asphalt (and I wonder why I have so many scars on my knees) and the game began! Our PE teacher happened to be a nun with only one arm, she was perfect for the position and was always the pitcher, constantly trying to protect herself against line-drives. There were never any 'outs', we were always "Christian SAFE!". Which I figured out later in life doesn't apply to the rest of the world. It was good clean fun, always ending with a race to the water fountain where you were given 3 seconds to get the appropriate hydration.
I'm ready for KICK-BALL season!

Good Day.
Considering it's only 2:20 PM, I've had a pretty good day so far. My mom surprised me with a lunch date, my friend is staying in Dallas to work with a hospital she loves, a co-worker gave me a free bag of M&M's and James took a parking ticket to court and won. Tonight, I am ignoring the study monster and having drinks.
Life is good.
(Considering the recession, it doesn't take too much these days... maybe that's a good thing.)

STUDY MONSTER
Sorry for the lack of blog post... I've been held against my will by the study monster and I'm afraid it will be April until he frees me again.
