Stuff White People Like

I can't help it, I read about this book and I had to order it! It will be here in 5-9 business days, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to laugh a lot.

Deborah Carol Rose Interwicz Fleitman - You're the BEST!

I would just like to take the time to say what an amazing mother I have.
Your weather forcast are always spot-on and your food has always nourished my soul.
Thank you for that.
Now, lets talk about you letting your 10 year old daughter wear glasses big enough to eat off.

Sorry Mom.

My mom just called again to tell me to stop bashing her on the internet.  Apparently my previous comment made her sound like an idiot.  Sorry mom.

Oh yah, and she mentioned that it's started to freeze, so be careful going to work in the morning.

New England Aint Got Nothing on Addison

I love when the weather gets below freezing in Texas. Not because of the nice cozy feeling of cuddling up with my pooch on the couch with some hot cocoa... but because everyone freaks out. I find it quite amusing. Schools have closed, people are leaving early from work, my mom is calling to make sure I know it's cold outside.... it's great to just sit back, relax and watch the show. Am I leaving early? If they don't dock vaca hours, sure. But otherwise, I can manage to walk back to Artist Way if needed.

ZZzzzzzzz.....

So Andrew, my little reading buddy, emailed me about our new book that we will be discussing. It's called In Their Own Words: Lewis and Clark.
I'm not going to lie Andrew, I'm pretty sure this one's a snoozer.

Obama = Change

We've had a new president just a little over 24 hours and already James and I are seeing great changes! The construction fence next to our apartment has been taken down and a new light bulb was installed in our kitchen! Thanks Obama!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!!!

I am thinking it's a sign
that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images and when we kiss they're perfectly aligned.
And I have to speculate
that God himself did make us into corresponding shapes like puzzle pieces from the clay.
And true, it may seem like a stretch
but it's thoughts like this that catch my troubled head when you're away, when I am missing you to death.
When you are out there on the road
for several weeks of shows and when you scan the radio I hope this song will guide you home.
They will see us waving from such great heights.
Come down now, they'll say.
But everything looks perfect from far away.
Come down now, but we'll stay.
I've tried my best to leave
this all on your machine but the persistant beat, it sounded thin upon listening.
And that frankly will not fly
You will hear the shrillest highs and lowest low with windows down when this is guiding you home.
They will see us waving from such great heights.
Come down now, but we'll stay.

San Diego

I'm here for work. And although I'm here barely 24 hours and really haven't left the hotel property, I think I really like this place.

Note to self.

Mr. & Mrs. Schardt

Our good friends Lindsay and Scott got hitched! It was an absolutely beautiful wedding with a great party to follow. Congratulations Schardts!

Why, hello New Year.

What a great year 2009 has been so far! (I'm being more positive in the new year) We rang in the New Year with a bang, having a few close friends (as well as our special friend above) out to the lake cabin for some well deserved partying! The Parkers drove all the way from Alabama to make sure the year started off right, and by-golly, it did. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
