(No joke... the costume looked just like this.)
When I was in high school, my lovely Aunt Mary used to keep me busy with odd jobs. Whether it was babysitting, working at a bingo hall, or wrapping Christmas gifts; there was always some money for me to earn. On this particular occasion, I was employed (hourly) to dress as the Easter Bunny for her son's class egg hunt. I was probably about 17 at the time and not thrilled about my present situation, but knew the reward would be worth it.
Mary supplied me with the costume minutes before I was to make my much awaited appearance. (And, as many of you know, I've been tall most of my life; topping off my current height at age 13. Most pants are just a tad too short and full body bunny suits are no exception.) After changing quickly in a closet, I had no choice but to make the best of it and hop out to the hunt; showing at least 2" of skin on both my ankles and wrist and sporting a permanent wedgie.
"They're kids, they won't notice!" Yah, right! After being ambushed with hugs, the first thing they noticed... skin. My only saving grace was that the Easter Bunny doesn't talk. There was barely enough ventilation for breathing, let alone a way to speak.
So the moral of this story...have a HAPPY EASTER! (And don't get your bunny suit in a wad)
