Since September James has been working hard towards this monstrous goal and we found out last night he passed the first part and can apply to start the second and final class next fall!

Sug's Shower

Here are more pictures from our wonderful shower last Saturday. Thanks to all my family and friends that travelled long distances just to attend this party; we had folks from Oklahoma and East Texas make the trip. It really meant a lot to me!

James and I have already started washing all her goodies and placing them in her room. The nursery is almost complete and I can't wait to show it off.

I meant to do this post at the end of November, as the 26th marked the first anniversary in our home. But that didn't get done. Then I meant to do it in December... fail, again. So, I was determined to get this posted to mark the New Year!

James and I gave ourselves 2 years to try and get this house into shape. And I can confidently say I think we are over the half-way mark. Our wallet definitely is. Pretty sure there isn't one room that is totally complete... but it's definitely better than it was. We've accomplished large task such as flooring, flooding and kitchen; now we can focus on individual rooms, furniture, decorating and details.
The early photos are scarce - most of the good ones were on our laptop, which was stolen. So we'll just have to make due with what we've got! But it does make me appreciate this sweet little blog and the memories I do record on it. So here we go. NO judging... like I said, it's not done. And I'm not sure it ever will be....
Here's to 2012 - May the sweat-equity stay steady and the real estate market get off it's knees!

I found this one to be the best. What they don't tell you on those DIY shows: Sure you can save money by doing it yourself - but you spend all that extra dough on the tools to get the job done. As renters, a hammer and a screwdriver were pretty sufficient - now we own Home Depot.

Is it just me, or have the holidays wiped anyone else out this year. I try very hard to be organized and start our Christmas shopping early, but for some reason this year I could not get it together. It might have something to do with this little 4 lb yoga instructor in my belly.

I have a feeling this won't be the last Christmas that we're running around like chickens trying to wrap everything up at the last moment. But I am excited that it will be our last as a family of 2 (+Gustopher).

A Hack Attack?!

When James and I got married, it was weird for me to give him all my passwords and logins. Now today, I'm pretty sure there's not a single login or password he couldn't hack. I'm going to have to start getting creative. But thank you for the bday shout, it makes me feel special.

Today I am 28 weeks on my 29th birthday with 1 wild and crazy gal!

My day started off fantastic! Decaf Starbucks in bed, a beautiful birthstone necklace from my baby daddy, a high pitched song from the cutest 4 year old I know and the gray streak in my hair even looked a little less old-ladyish.

The past few weeks have been a bit of an eye-opener for me, I had an "Aha!" moment, if you will. A few things have been put into perspective and others thrown out the window. And sometimes it takes a good swift kick in the butt from life and a few tears to get you to the right place. As funny as this may sound to you, the realization that I am about to be a mother slapped me in the face. I'm about to be someones biggest role model, teacher and provider. And if I want to raise a daughter that is not only strong, but equally compassionate, I need to show her what it's all about.
A few weeks ago someone told me that my priorities have changed and I need to make a decision as to what I really want in life.
I think by the size of my belly, I've made it clear.
It's not going to be easy, but I've got a kick-ass sidekick, Texas Ranger and I think it's going to be a pretty magical year.
Bring it on 29.

The Ranger came home with a bag full of pepper spray last night and new safety laws are being inforced in the Lynn household. He also saw some cops walking in the front yard last night and pumped his fist in the air and chanted "Let's Get Vigilant!"

Next thing you know, he's going to be sitting on the front porch all night in his Birkenstocks, cardigan and a shot gun.

Last week our car was broken into at our home and our personal laptop was stolen. I know, I know... who leaves a laptop in a car when you live in downtown Dallas? Well, as stupid as my thought process sounds now; I had it in there to keep it from being stolen from the million of people that were in and out of our house last week working on our kitchen. The stolen laptop was just the icing on the cake to a very, very stressful week.

So late last night as James was walking Gus he noticed two gentlemen who seemed a little suspicious and walking without any real direction. Being the brave vigilante that he is - he followed them for a while as they weaved up and down the streets of the neighborhood. At one point he was able to jump into his crime-fighting Mini and stalk them by car. Long story short, he called the cops and they were able to locate the men; finding many little treasures on them that did not belong. Too bad one of them wasn't carrying my Sony Vaio.

Great job James... keeping our neighborhood safe, one dog walk at a time.

I thought... maybe it's on facebook or they have a website? No. It's on the invitation, which is the only place it should be. Sleepy Time Surprises

Sug now has multiple places to lay her head and they all came as quite a surprise. I received an email a few weeks ago saying the crib was on back order and would not arrive until mid-December, only to have it delivered on Friday. And last week my mom helped me put together Sug's baby registry and by Thursday our first gift, the pack-n-play (thanks Mom and Dad!) was on our front porch!

The surprises continue... I totally forgot that James had the day off yesterday, so it was an even lovelier surprise to come home to find both the new crib and playard had been fully assembled!

I think James was more intrigued with the play yard, as it had a lot more bells and whistles than the boring old crib. He was also spouting out words like "bassinet" and "mobile" which I pretty sure was not a part of his vocabulary prior to reading the assembly instructions.

As I walked by Sug's room this morning and saw all her new beds.... it made me really excited and nervous. Maybe more nervous than excited. Maybe she'll just stay in my belly forever.

This past weekend, my sister, mom and I met half-way in OKC to have a quick little girl's weekend sans kiddos and husbands. It was nice hanging out with no plans or obligations. But I must admit, the best part of the weekend was the earthquake. We had just turned the heart wrenching OSU game off and were snuggled up in our hotel room when the earthquake hit. It was my first earthquake and I'd have to say it was very exciting: a 5.6 on the scale, nothing to sneeze at.

I'm looking forward to our next 'girls weekend' and a new natural disaster.

Last weekend we attended the wedding of the sweetest girl to ever live next to us. She was an amazingly gorgeous bride and her personality and new husband are just icing on the cake.

I'm starting to look like a large beast and I'm only 6 months. But we took photos since the scenery was so beautiful (the reception was on an amazing ranch) and we were both dressed up.

So we haven't done too much for Sug's room yet, which is starting to make me nervous as the clock is starting to tick. (One project at a time... right? Kitchen first, then Sug's room next.) We have purchased a crib, but it was on back order and won't arrive until November, so that's at least one thing....

Did a little kitchen cleaning on Sunday.

Remember the before? These photos are from when we bought it and the kitchen was spotless. After living in it, we found out the appliances were close to useless, cabinets inefficent, major leaks in the ceiling and a massive draft came in under the counters on the window side.

So we knew it would be a demo-project.

So as usual, my parents saved the day with their muscles and helped us out all Sunday. Dad and James ninja-fied the interior as mom and I made a million trips to the dumpster. Baby momma couldn't carry her weight as much as normal, but my mom stepped up and hauled a few extra loads in the name of her granddaughter.

Yup, #4... OSU is ranked 4, wooohhooo. People (James) are pretty excited about this around here and Saturdays can not come soon enough.

Last weekend we went to Austin to watch the Pokes tackle the Longhorns and came out victorious! It was a warm game, Sug and I ended up leaving by the half. But James managed to tough it out with a sunburn to prove it.

Gus has floppy ears and requires lots of ear cleaning; his only high maintenance quality. But he HATES to have them cleaned. I took this photo of him the other night refusing to come upstairs to the kitchen while the ear solution bottle was out. He stayed in this crouching position for a good 30 minutes until I put the bottle up. He's becoming quite the cantankerous old man. I can only imagine how stubborn and annoyed he will become when there is a baby interrupting his naps and safety gates impeding on his freedom.

Saturday morning as Gus and I were taking our morning stroll we spotted this creep sitting on top our neighbors patio wall.

This view is from our front door, after I screamed for James to come outside. It was obvious that there was something wrong with him; as we had a few visitors walk past him over the course of a couple of hours and he never moved.

We have our fair share of feral cats running around, but wildlife is definitely lacking in our neighborhood.

Project Close-Out

I officially had my first project close-out last week with my new company. This property is on a fairly major university in upstate New York, and I am happy to hopefully never have to visit that town again. It's cold there.

We started August 2010 and ended last week. Our budget was minimal and it was a very piece-y project which makes it very tedious.

I was able to really stretch my bones by re-upholstering a lot of seating that they already had and buying new shades for the old lamps. It was cheap, but made a huge difference. Of course carpet and walls are new and a few larger sofas were customized for the space. (Can you believe they had those awesome metal side chairs in storage in their basement!? New fabric and they were good to go!)

Speaking of which: Sug is officially a she. Weighing in at a whooping 12 ounces and measuring about a week ahead of schedule. All her test came back fabulous and she scored a 1350 on her SATs.

This past week James' beloved grandmother Isyou past away. Although I never got to truly get to know her, she was remembered by many as an amazing woman. In looking at old photos of her, there was one of her one and only grandchild, sweet baby James. And it really got me wondering what this sweet Sug is going to look like? I went to the doc yesterday and Sug is baking quite nicely. Although someone decided to have a small dance party in my belly, we finally found the heart beat and it was strong and loud. All test have come back perfect and through all the 'gallons' of blood I have given, I have not passed out ONCE!

I'm finally feeling back to semi-normal, which is amazing compared to those first few months. But the nurses tell me to not get to complacent, because in a few months I'll go back to being uncomfortable again.

I can't wait to meet this lil' personality growing inside. What will be Sug's favorite hobbies and past times? Sports? James and I love watching volleyball and tennis on TV and have both agreed it would be a blast to have Sug enjoy those as well. Or maybe grandfather Lynn will finally have a biking buddy? Or will Sug take the stage like his Auntie and be a triple threat singer, dancer, actor?

And the best part... we have no idea... nor do I care, I'm just excited to be along for the ride.

I think ultimately, we want Sug to do what makes Sug happy... whatever that is. :)

Say What?

My office is a mishmash of several small companies; all somehow involved with property development. Our work sometimes intertwines, other times we're all on separate projects... but we're all in one small space.

My point... and I have one. There is a fellow office mate that sits within earshot of my desk that definitely keeps me on my toes. He's very bold, opinionated and not shy with his sexist, racist remarks. He is most entertaining when he is on the phone with another one of his older, opinionated, racist friends. I often wonder how the person on the other side of that call respond to some of his quick comments... and if any of them find them as shocking and funny as I do. When he spits out a good one... I like to write them down and re-read them on days that I'm sad or blue.

Below are my top 4 so far... I'm sure there will be more to come and I'll definitely make sure you can share in the fun.

I seldom share work events on the blog, mainly because it's boring... crunching numbers, organizing people and contractors and lots of desk time. But I thought I'd share a few pictures of my latest project.

We recently presented a model room at one of our properties in Minnesota. It was very well received and I think my designers did a great job. The last few weeks have been a bit stressful, but we fell in budget, Hilton approved the room and we are released to move forward with the development of the rest of the property. Big sigh of relief.

Crazy Stupid Love

For some reason James hates going to the movies. I mean, who hates going to the movies? So ridiculous, but last night he compromised and went with me for a showing of "Crazy Stupid Love". I just wanted to get out of the house but also avoid the heat; so we went to the mall, poked our head in the new H&M and then headed for the cinema.

It was actually a good movie (he would even agree). Sweet love story with some pretty witty humor.

Lately my mom's been baking Sug all sorts of yummy (healthy) things. This week we are munchin' on some homemade pumpkin bread with pumpkins from my Grandparents. And I can not help but CRAVE a warm, thick latte to go with it. Something that's way too hot to drink at first, so you just cup it in your hands and blow on it; releasing all those amazing aromas. Uggg.... and it's not the caffeine that's keeping me away, you can get them in decaf... it's this damn heat. I'd have to put an extra layer of deodorant on just to enjoy the thing.

I've been trying really hard not to complain about this heat. But I'm tired of it and more importantly, Sug is tired of it. Football is on the TV... the end has got to be near. Right?

Big Ride Across America

James' Uncle B (also named James Lynn) recently did something extremely awesome. I mean really, really awesome... he just completed the Big Ride Across America for the American Lung Association. Which means he rode his bike everyday for 7 weeks from Seattle to Washington, D.C. (3,300 miles) - rain or shine. We must admit, we were a little skeptical, seeing as you sleep in tents most nights and Uncle B isn't such a young chap anymore... but he proved us wrong, and we couldn't be more delighted!

Congratulations Uncle B! Job well done.

On Friday my parents and their friends leave for London. I'm so excited for them and even more jealous. I'm back in my own home. After almost 2 weeks of hotel stays and mini-vaca's; I slept in my bed for the first time this weekend. And it was glorious. Due to the plumbing disaster we had in June, we definitely had to have some work done on the house to make it livable. So we decided to bundle some more additional work at the same time for a major 2+ week work session. Not going to lie - it made me cranky; very cranky. Especially when you have those days when you just want to come home from work and put something comfy on and watch TV. But instead there is an inch of saw dust on the sofa and the stairs have been removed from your bedroom.

But... that is all past now. James get MVP in the husband category. Upon my arrival Friday evening from a work trip - he made sure my poochie was back home, the house had been cleaned and even had all the laundry done! On top of working a very busy "Mary Kay Convention" week. And best of all, there was no man in my house named Ricardo kicking up more dust.

Today some coworkers and I took a field trip to In-N-Out Burger. It was pretty good. Not sure I'd wait in that line again.... it's been open over a month and the lines are still around the block.

Work, our house under major construction (we've lived in a hotel the past few nights due to the chaos) and just other fun life factors that always seem to surface at once. My nephew's lost their Grammy this past week too, so the entire family has been on a less than positive note. BUT tomorrow night James and I leave to spend some much needed time with old friends for an extended weekend. It's not a big vaca (we won't be partaking in one of those lovely things this year). The other night I came home to James cooking away in the kitchen. Due to the state of our existing kitchen, James and I try to spend as little time in there as possible. It's old, most things don't work or work poorly and it just seems gross no matter how hard we scrub. So to see him back in his glory was nice. Not to mention he already had Spanish appetizers set out ready for me to devour. Prosciutto wrapped melon and toast with tomato and okra puree. It was so delicious and made me want a vacation so bad.

And in other random news. This is Abby Noles. She's already one (can't believe it) and the most well behaved baby I've ever had dinner with. She was awesome, no really, she was. Some day I'm going to have to learn Jaime's secrets on how to produce an all star like Sweet Abby.

DRIP, drip, drip

Within the last 2 weeks, we've had 3 minor/major plumbing problems in our home. They say it comes in threes (Normally only in celebrity deaths; but for the sake of my sanity, lets say plumbing problems too, ok?) And I think I'm really ready for it all to be over. Last week our garbage disposal disconnected from the drain making a lovely mess underneath the counter. Luckily, it was an easy fix with a flashlight and a wrench.

Friday night after a lovely night watching the Rangers with friends we came home to a flooding garage. The 3rd floor toilet split and ran for 6 hours straight, going through 2 floors and flooding the garage. The dining room ceiling was ruined as well as the brand new wood floors; and not to mention the wood planks we had in the garage that were scheduled to be installed on the 3rd floor in July. There were tears shed for sure. Especially since it was midnight and our dining room was full of water. Insurance adjuster comes tomorrow. Cross your fingers that it's positive.

And then this morning, on my way to work, I get a call from the neighbor saying there's water coming out of the garage again... so I come back to find the washer is leaking some how. I don't have the solution on that one yet... I had a conference call at 9 am, so I turned the water off and just left.

Needless to say, I'm a little tired of the drip. Please say it's over for a little while? The dripping?

Ok, I may be totally lame but I just discover Amy's Kitchen Frozen Meals and am so glad I did.

We don't have a lunch break here at my office. Everyone eats at their desk. There are no rules, it's just something we all do. We either all order a pizza, sandwiches or get something from the cafeteria below. But more times than not - it's a frozen lunch in a box on the fly. (which we like to sing to the tune of the SNL Timberlake skit "It's My D*** in a Box.")

Anyways, I've come to despise lunch in a box - every single Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice taste exactly the same, no matter what the flavor. There are days I'd rather starve than heat one of those babies up.

BUT NOT NOW Ladies and Gentlemen.

Amy's has the most delicious frozen meals. Seriously, dude. I know this is corny, but if you've eaten as many frozen clumps of junk as I have, you would rejoice in this discovery too! And the best part, they are so much better for me too! All organic and vegetarian (which I can handle for lunch) and I can pronounce every single ingredient on the back. They are about 100 calories more than a Lean Cuisine, but I'm not starving by 2pm either. And what you eat, actually looks like the picture on the front because they have a much shorter shelf life and haven't been frozen for 19 years.

I'm exhausted just trying to think of the last few months.

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting many pics of the casa lately. Mainly due to the fact that even though we complete (what feels like a big) project it really doesn't make that big of a difference in the entire scheme of things. BUT this past month, we've really been making progress and it feels good. We've got plants on the patio, paint on most of the walls, new furniture and wood on the floors! I still don't have fully complete pictures, because the place is far from fully complete... but hey, it's getting there!

(I swore I'd never buy furniture there ever again, but these lockers were perfect and exactly what we wanted and stayed within budget.) Notice floors are still cement in this picture.

James and trusty Levi pulled up all the old Pergo flooring on the second floor.

Our lovely relaxing Memorial Day weekend was spent with Ricardo, laying down this beautiful wood! First and second floors are complete! We'll conquer the 3rd floor in July.

Living in a cluster for several days... can make a cranky family. That's for sure. This here is my dining room. But it's done now, so we're back to normal (whatever that is).

There has been a lot of commotion in our neighborhood during the past couple of days. The streets have been lined with police cars, which we rarely ever see. The Mansion on Turtle Creek, the only 5 star, 5 diamond hotel in Dallas is a block south of our house so there is often a little bustling during high-profile events or guest; but this was much more than normal. On Gus and I's walk we were redirected to not walk next to The Mansion and all guest were bused in so as to not park in the front parking lot. This was someone big! I quickly called my news watchers (the parents) who thought it might be Obama because of his recent fund-raising efforts, but we later learned it was the Dalai Lama. HA, I didn't guess that one! SMU is offering him an honorary degree of some sorts. Which I find incredibly hilarious. Not to degrade SMU by any means, it is a fine university with great educators, I'm sure. My next door neighbor is a professor and I've even had a couple of friends receive their law degrees from there. But in my mind and many others... when you think of SMU - visions of bored little rich kids who like to dabble in drug dealing until it kills them pops into your head. In Dallas, if you are looking for something illegal... make your way over to University Park and you most likely will find whatever it is you are looking for while enjoying some beautifully manicured lawns on your way.

I hope the Dalai Lama has had a very hospitable stay in Dallas and I'm sure The Mansion went to great lengths to serve. Although, as my dad said... he seemed like more of a Za Za type of guy (he's just not into paying $15 for a 4 oz cocktail. :)

DIY TV

As James and I work toward renovating our home, we've (I've) developed a little concept towards those DIY home renovation shows. Let me explain the differences between those shows and REAL life renovations.

1. You don't have some tv personality telling you how much money you SAVED by doing it yourself. You just have to figure you saved something, anything. Anything?

2. What you don't see in the background is 50 other people helping on this project. When James and I are lucky... my dad is helping and my mom is eating Red Mango in the background.

3. They always have the right products, materials and equipment. You never see them wasting an hour running to the flooring store for more grout. And if they do, it's one of those 50 other people who are just standing around waiting to order everyone sandwiches.

4. No project is complete in a weekend. None.

5. Everyone's happy. (Lies)

I suck as a blogger these days, I apologize. But life feels like a bit of a race right now and I'm learning how to make it a marathon instead of a sprint. James and I are definitely working in the direction of setting a comfortable pace, but seem to get a few set backs here and there, causing a re-set button to be pushed.

My hyperboles are getting out of control.

I'm stuck waiting on a meeting and realized I haven't 'really' blogged in a while... so here we go. A real post about something other than my house.

I like fashion. And in my industry, I feel I need to look like I have some sort of style, or at least that I try.

But lately, I've found that I don't have the time to leisurely stroll the mall looking for sales. Sales on clothes that I don't totally love in the first place. All the stores in the mall look the same right now and I'm just not digging it. I'm also a 'tweener' when it comes to style. I want to be 'hip and cool', but I need to also look professional and non-slutty :).

So I've started doing a little online clothes shopping. I've never been an online clothes shopper in the past, mainly due to my shape. I'm tall in weird areas but have shorter legs... a shape that is not crafted for the masses. But I've recently had some success with some new stores and I thought I'd share!

Boden is a UK based company that just expanded their website to US prices and sizes. The best thing about Boden: they have Tall sizes in their dresses! Finally sheath dresses that aren't mini! (My mom is heading to London in late summer and I've asked her to keep her eyes peeled for stores)

LL Bean just came out with a 'Signature Line'. Not all flannels and fleece anymore. Very conservative, but great classic lines and great quality. A little high on the price scale, but these pieces are made to last.

We've been busy, I promise.

PATIO

The previous owner had a hot-tub on our spacious patio and tiled the area around it. So when the hot-tub was removed, there was a weird lay of tile.

We pulled it up. There's still some glue we need to chip away, but it looks much better.

There were minimal weeds that I pulled in preparation to plant something nice. Still working out that plan, as I'm not quite the horticulturist.

But the patio does look much more presentable and we are enjoying spending the sunny afternoons out there. (Hurry up spring, I'm craving you bad!)

FRONT PORCH

Minimal work, but it made quite the difference.

I researched the hardiest (semi-good looking) plant to put in the new pot we bought for the front door. Please everyone say a tiny prayer that I may be able to keep these 'mother-in-law tongues' from dying. If not, I'm going to be the weird lady who puts fake plants in a pot on the front porch.

This is the fabulous new door-bell plate that took us a week to install. Sometimes the smallest projects can ruin a marriage... thankfully, James and I decided a door bell plate was not worth it. We re-convened days later and the finished product looks really nice and polished.

And we also have this old speaker system at the left of the door. It doesn't work, but I didn't want to take it off and try patching the stucco. So I spray-painted it bronze and it definitely hides much better than the bright nasty gold it was previously.

I know they look small, but as new homeowners... every project we encounter is normally our first. Which means it usually takes twice as long and double the frustration. BUT we are learning so much and are really proud of our accomplishments, even if they are weak.

New Sconce

I've mentioned James and I are trying to be very cost conscience on all renovations for our home. We've also been trying to stay on track with starting all renovations on the first floor and working our way up to the bedrooms. We'll, I've been eyeing this sconce for a while and really wanted to put it on the 3rd floor landing. It's not that pricey, but it jumps out of our schedule. So, I decided that I could sell some 'junk/other people's treasure' on craigslist and only use that mula for the sconce.

Well, I sold my last item last night to get me over the top (including shipping) and I'm going to order my sconce today! I totally felt like a kid again, working and saving to buy something I've wanted all on my own.

Because that other check I get twice a month sure doesn't feel like its mine :(

Snow Day

So the weather in Dallas has been a little chilly. We haven't gotten a lot of snow, but the ice is still rather thick on the roads. Texans tend to freak out a bit with any cold weather precipitation but add a major televised event where most of America will be watching you... oh Lord! This Super Bowl will be showing our true colors. Come 'on Dallas, don't screw this up!

I'm surprised Jerry hasn't installed some massive sun lamps, hovering over the city, melting everything. I can only imagine what it feels like to not be able to control the weather, when you are able to control every single other element in your life. Money can't buy love or good weather, ha!

Anyways, I digress. Even with 99% of our city shut down, I was requested to come in the office for "a bit". Sometimes it's not a positive to live so close to work. I'm still a little bitter that everyone within a 100 mile radius was snug in their sweat pants watching movies and eating ice cream while I was in the office, working.

BUT the only good thing: Watching the winter weather from a high-rise. I work in Uptown, just North of Downtown and a heightened view of the white roofs and quiet streets is really beautiful. You don't quite see the details of the gray sludge or sanded sidewalks. Just white quiet.

I get no sympathy from the hubs about working on a 'snow day' either. The poor boy is all over Dallas AND Ft. Worth throwing parties for Adidas and Gatorade and a million other companies celebrating the football fiasco. The parties must go on.

I'm quite chatty today huh?

Well, we've been moving and grooving but our progress doesn't always show up in pictures. PLUS, we're trying to do most of our renovations with cash, so that slows us down a bit. BUT today, we've got photo-worthy updates.

BEFORE:

This is in our master bedroom. The weird little balcony/library opened up all the way to the 1st floor over the entry, leaving the master with very little sound control. James and I go to bed at different times and I could here the television from 2 floors below. Plus, the area was just weird and wasted. So we (the contractors) closed it in and created a great closet.

DURING:

I wanted the skylight to stay over the entry and not in the closet.

Since we extended the floor a few inches, we were able to put a can light over the front door. Really makes the entry so much warmer.

AFTER:

We took the doors from the kitchen (which we were going to remove eventually) and put them up here, so we saved a little cash and all our doors still match.

Now all I have to do is paint it. I really love it and think the ROI is going to be high. I can't hear the TV at all anymore and it really gives the master bedroom a more cohesive feel.

Yah!

Now on to the next project!

We actually really liked this fixture, but this is one of our only spots available for a ceiling fan and I love the efficiency of a ceiling fan more than the look of the globe fixture. Craigslist here we come.

We've actually accomplished a lot this week, but all the good photos are on my camera. I'll post what I've got and do more photos later. We are totally finished un-packing. Now on to organizing and decorating.

We've been in the house a little over a week. A few lovely pictures.

Our first leak... (awwwww). There's a leak in the master bath, above the kitchen. I love when my plumbing and electricity mix it up. Plumber is out today to fix.

Our favorite appliance. Its not a microwave and it's not an oven; but it is attached to the oven and does still work. James wanted to see if it was too hot for plastic. It is.

Somehow I managed to find time to put up a sweet little Christmas tree. Don't be fooled, our living room is not that large and I did not put up two trees... that's a mirrored wall.
